Southern Highlands Wedding – Milton Park Bowral – David and Chlaris

One of my favourite areas of the world is the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. So lush and quaint, very laid back but also effortlessly styled. Milton Park is quintessentially Southern Highlands; and I was extra speshily happy when David and Chlaris asked me to photograph their wedding to be held there.

Chlaris and David decided upon a ‘First Look’, meeting each other underneath an old vine entangled iron arched tunnel. I have to admit, I wasn’t sold on First Looks initially, but after a couple of real heart-felt experiences with them, now I always mention it to my couples.

And these two love-birds didn’t disappoint either, just bursting with love and excitement as they lay eyes on each other, knowing that in a few short hours they would be man and wife. There is something to be said about sharing a few private moments together before joining your loved ones to celebrate your union….and maybe with your bridal party too!

It was a brisk day that’s for sure, everyone desperate to get inside any chance they could to warm up. But David and Chlaris were like two school kids with a crush, keen to get out and get some cool snaps when possible.

They were inseparable all day and night, always having a sneaky glance, a shy smile, always absentmindedly reaching out and touching each other’s arms.
It gives me the warm fuzzies being a part of such a celebration of love with two people so in love.

Guys, may you continue to inspire those around you and each other for years to come. You both looked awesome, and you are awesome.

Byron Bay Wedding Photography – Dan and Ally teasers

Ally and Dan met on the Gold Coast, Australia, after Ally’s housemate left to travel the world, and her new one had a “very handsome friend” that helped him move in. They all went out for drinks after, and these two lovers have been inseparable ever since.

Love is the answer to everything, and what better way to tell the whole world than an intimate wedding in the beautiful Byron Bay hinterland.

Forget Me Not is a stunning property in the cute town of Bangalow, meticulously treated by owner Jo. It has so many little beautiful areas to use, as a photographer it’s just a dream.

But the heavens sure opened up this day, it poured with rain for the most part, so we only got to jump out now and then and get to a few close-by spots. That was enough though, it’s really all about Love!

I really love the photos below. It’s only a handful from the whole day, but they really do show the adoration these two have for each other, and that they are meant to be…well I think so.

Ally and Dan, thank you for having me along on your beautiful rainy day wedding in paradise. You were so much fun to be around, it’s beautiful people like you guys that inspire greatness in others.

Brisbane Wedding Photography – Joseph and Chantelle – a few sneak peeks

These two soul-mates met through sharing the gospel at their Brisbane church, Good Shepherd Baptist…and they also did some door knocking together too!

Perfect.

Their pastor, Nathan Lloyd, married them. The ceremony was full of very real and down to earth advice and heartfelt words, many of which really hit home with me too. Beautifully done, Nathan!

After everyone gorged themselves on mouth watering Italian at Brisbane’s Casa Cibo Restaurant, we all (bridal party only, not the whole wedding) jumped in our cars and drove out to the stunning Cedar Creek out in the hills west of the city, for a bridal party, and let’s not forget NEWLY WEDS!! expression session.

Here are a handful (or maybe a few more) of Pete (my trusty partner in crime – Thanks Pete!) and my faves, that we both took.

They are just images that caught our eyes, while we were scanning through all your pics to get all the keepers of the day.

They are all very different and we love them.

Chantelle and Joseph, I hope your honeymoon was wondrous. I also hope these pics will keep you keen until the rest get meticulously done…one by one.

The Brisbane country out west towards the mountains is a beautiful area that’s for sure. There is another stunning part of Australia that we also love, Byron Bay. We have done a great feature on some venues you might want to have a look at HERE. It’s worth a look.
